JOURNAL
A journal of places, projects, and the conditions in which the photographs emerged.
Where the Sea Becomes Ordinary
Beyond crowded beaches and perfect sunsets, the Mediterranean follows a quieter rhythm. Fishing boats return before sunrise, children jump into the water after dinner, and everyday life continues around the constant presence of the sea.
Still Water, Stone City
A quiet harbour in Monopoli, a forgotten parking spot and forty minutes spent walking in the wrong direction. Sometimes the best travel photographs aren't planned at all—they happen while you're distracted by boats, narrow streets and the everyday rhythm of a Mediterranean town.
I didn’t plan to stop here.
A short stop in Matera turned into something else entirely. This piece reflects on structure, simplicity, and the quiet moment when a place like the Sassi di Matera makes you slow down and see differently, as a surgeon, and as a photographer.
Ostuni, somewhere in the white maze
A short journal entry about a narrow passage in Ostuni and the moment I decided to stop instead of walking past. It reflects how I tend to move away from obvious viewpoints and focus on smaller structures, light, and direction within a space. The text connects this way of seeing with a slower, more grounded approach to photography and daily life.
